Symmetry XG creates the correct alignment of the body for proper standing and weight bearing.  The ability to become upright and achieve mild hyper-extension at the hips creates proper weight bearing capability.  Correct alignment of the pelvis and hips is unequalled in this premier standing device with its Over-Center Seat Technology.  Not only does the Symmetry XG bring you to a fully upright and weight bearing position, it allows you to adjust that postion for maximum stretch and a progressive standing program.

Shear Reduction System

The advanced positioning capabilities supplied by Symmetry XG Sliding Seat technology reduce the effect of shear as the body moves from sitting to standing.  Our innovative Sliding Seat assists in maintaining the position of the body while minimizing unwanted pressures and shear on the seat areas, allowing you to maintain position.

Our Adjustable Sliding Back virtually eliminates the effects of shear and body movement when transitioning from sitting to standing.  Each back assembly is adjustable so it will move with the client, matching the needs of each individual.  This state of the art design allows you to personalize the unit and keep all support surfaces in a proper and consistent position not only while standing and siting, but also while raising and lowering.  Once the support devices are in place, they stay where they belong, giving you the best control of your standing and positioning needs.

Quick Adjustment Seat Depth:

Seat depth adjusts easily with two pull knobs that remain on the unit and are easily identified for use.  One pulls down and the other to the side.   

Independent Knee Pads: 

Independently adjustable knees come as a standard feature on the Symmetry XG for better positioning of the lower extremities and fine tuning of the standing position.

Swivel Seat Function:

All Symmetry XG models are standard with Prime Engineering's Swivel Seat for the easiest transfer possible.

Swivel Release Position:

The seat release mechanism rotates with the seat so that it is easily accessible in all positions for the client and the caregiver.

Clear Side Area:

Both Sides of the unit have been cleared, allowing open access to the seat area, facilitating easier transfers without interference from the frame or hardware.

Self Elevating Tray:

Tray table adjusts up and down easily with assistance from a gas spring by loosening one adjustment knob.

Back Post Rigidizing Bar:

Back Assemblies are supplied with a rigidizer bar to keep the back properly aligned.  Back Panel can be removed, or the unit may be ordered without the the solid back and easily utilize an aftermarket back or your own seating.

New Rear Frame:

The shape of the rear base of Symmetry XG allows close access to the client while in the standing position and supplies a smaller overall footprint.

Greater Client Range:

Symmetry XG provides more adjustability and shorter lift arms than the original Symmetry, increasing the client height range.  The Adult range is approximately 5' to 6'4" and the Youth range is approximately 42" to 64" without modification.

Desk Usage:

The XG Tray Table adjusts lower and closer to the client, allowing it to be utilized as a work surface while the client is seated.  The self-elevating/lifting feature assists the caregiver when making this change.

Anatomically Shaped One Piece Back:  The Symmetry XG back assembly is anatomically shaped which provides contoured shape that supports better and more comfortably.  All backs are now one piece.

Swing Away Lateral Supports:  Provides upper body support that easily attach to the back posts.

Hip Guides:  Provides hip and lower extremity positioning and alignment.

Headrest:  Height and depth adjustable head pad.

Headrest Mount Only:  Mounting block for most standard non-flipdown headrest mounts.

Support Vest: Vest is available in cotton denim, or vinyl.

Chest Belt:  Single strap wraps around the frame with Velcro closure for upper body support. (requires High Back)

No Back Panel Option:  Removes back panel to allow for aftermarket back application.

Extended Rigid Back Bar:  Replaces the 3" deep Back Bar with a 6" deep Back Bar for use with aftermarket backs.

Roho Knee Pads:  Provides additional padding for clients with special positioning needs such as contractures.

D-Ring Foot Straps:  Provides additional foot positioning.

Tray Edging:  Edge banding helps keep items on the tray surface.

Padded Tray Cover:  Upholstered vinyl tray cover supplies a soft tray surface that attaches with velcro straps.
