KidWalk EI is the smallest sized unit in our KidWalk line of Dynamic Mobility devices.  KidWalk EI provides safe and dynamic hands-free mobility with the client's feet on the floor.  The unit is appropriate for use with any client that fits within the size restrictions of the unit and has a need for a supportive device for ambulation.  KidWalk EI is appropriate for clients taking their first steps or those that are learning proper gait technique.  Common diagnosis for use of KidWalk include but are not limited to, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Dypegia, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Down's Syndrome, Spina Bifida, and more. 

KidWalk EI enables children to be participants in their world, not as observers, thru hands free, self-initiated exploration. Independent, self-initiated movement is the key to developing cognitive, language and motor skills, learning spatial relationships, and exploring the world. Walking is one of the most complex skills to master but also one of the most valuable activities for the physical and emotional development of children. KidWalk supports these vital steps in early childhood development by allowing a child with limited mobility to experience independent hands-free exploration.

Upper Body Soft Lateral Support System:  Flexible padded wrap-around support with locking buckle.

Upper Body Rigid Lateral Chest System:  Includes lateral side supports and anterior pads.

Contoured Headrests:  Small and Medium

Dynamic Leg Wraps:  Assist in supplying feedback to the client while encouraging movement in the lower extremities.

Wide Seat:  3" Wide

Extended Seats:  6" and 8" vertical extension.  Assists in controling adduction and scissoring.

Cruiser Wheels:  Allows omni-directional movement.

Sliding Ankle Prompts:  Straps hold ankles and help keep the client's feet from crossing and limit the client's stride.

Directional Locks:  Locks the caster swivel and restricts unit to straight line movement.
